I chose a given passage on page 83-84 when the kids were talking about the beast. I think Piggy is right about fear of people. Many kids on the island target him or tease him so I can see where he is coming from with the fear of others on the island. Piggy can probably tell who he should fear the most. When piggy asked what the beast eats, and someone said pig, piggy responded with, "we eat pig". I think he is trying to get the point across that the ones who kill are the beasts.
I think when Piggy dies it has symbolism connected to the passage. Right before he dies, has the conch thinking that Jack's group will reason and not act as crazy. Piggy thinks that the beast is in the kids bad actions, and Piggy is trying to get the group calm down, so the beast comes out in Rodger, and kills him. This passage has a lot of meaning.
