Symbolism Post

In a little town called Fane, a girl named Katherine has the perfect life. She has great grades, many friends, and she loves the town she lives in. She likes to follow the rules and does everything her parents tell her to. Katherine's best friend, Taylor, is very different from Kathrine. She is very adventurous, takes risks, and doesn't follow the rules. Most of all Taylor cannot stand Fane. She thinks the town is too small and hates the fact that everyone knows each other.

Katherine and Taylor are both seniors and can't wait for college. They were doing homework together when Katherine says, "So are you excited for FSU?", Taylor looks up slowly and responds humorously, "I'm not going to FSU". Taylor then explained that she can't wait to get out of this town and as far away from everyone as she could. Katherine felt as though her best friend betrayed her and couldn't even look at her. Kathrine explained, "I already know everyone here and it is time to have some change, It isn't because of you, I just think I could do so much better somewhere else." Taylor got so upset and ran off so fast Kathrine didn't have enough time to respond. 

It was getting late and Taylor had left quietly. Kathrine was thinking about what she had said, when she noticed that Taylor left her glasses. She tried them on and instantly could see better. She realized she has been needing glasses for so long. That night she was so tired and fell asleep with the glasses. 

That morning she felt different. That whole day she wore Taylor's glasses and looked at the town a whole new way. She realized if she stayed in her hometown she would be missing out on so many different things. When she got home he tore up her applications and started to look at other colleges. 

That one day changed Kathrine's life forever. She now travels the world interviewing all types of people. If she had never opened her eyes she might have hated her job. 

The glasses symbolized taking chances and to open your eyes to look at the big picture. When Kathrine opened her eyes she had a better life and happier life.

Humans are full of flaws. Humans aren't ever perfect. They make mistakes like being late or forgetting something. No one could possibly be perfect. Some people say "I'm human" and it literally means that humans make mistakes. Over time I learned this through experiences of my own and others around me. At school especially people make mistakes. For example, forgetting to do homework, being late to class, not studying, and getting a bad grade. Those are only some examples of flaws. But instead of thinking about all of those flaws, I'd rather think about all the good people can do.

Summer Trip

     One day my parents get a call from my aunt. She tells us she scored six tickets to a Justin Bieber concert in Dallas. It was on my sister’s birthday. My sister and I are freaking out because rappers called Migos were opening up for him. Everyday before the concert it was just crazy to think that i was going to get to see two really, really, really well known artists. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity that was very exciting.       A couple of days before we were going to the concert, I get a call from my cousin (the one who was taking us to the concert). I find out that Justin Bieber cancelled the concert. My reaction to that was being very sad and disappointed. I mean, I had learned almost all of Migos and JB’s songs. We were all mad. I was almost crying because I was really looking forward to seeing them perform. We still went to Houston and had a good time there. Free Post

Thanksgiving is definitely not my favorite holiday. I know that sounds bad, but let me explain. All of my mom's family comes to Baton Rouge and they all stay at my house. All of my cousins are near my age and they are nice, but they must have an obsession with messing up my room, because every time I walk in there, everything is moved around and then I have to go rearrange it. So many people in one house is very stressful enough. I really love the food because my mom lets me help her cook the small foods. It's the most fun part because my mom's mom and her sister and my cousins all like to help in the kitchen. What is annoying is that one of my aunts is obsessed with taking pictures so she makes us all stop what we are doing and smile like we love taking pictures... If I could change anything about Thanksgiving, I would do it with just my family and my friends' families and we would all stay at the beach.
